Lanark Micros
First steps in Rugby, built on fun, confidence and teamwork
Lanark Rugby Club Micros introduce children from Primary 1 to Primary 3 to rugby in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment. These early sessions are all about getting active, building confidence and enjoying movement through simple, engaging rugby-based games.
At this stage, the focus is on developing basic skills such as running, passing and coordination, while encouraging teamwork and participation. Sessions are designed to be energetic and inclusive, ensuring every child feels comfortable, supported and part of the group from the very beginning.
With the help of dedicated volunteer coaches and supportive families, the Micros create a positive first experience of rugby that sets the foundation for future development within the club.
Lanark Micros offers:
- Rugby for Primary 1 to Primary 3 boys and girls
- A fun and relaxed introduction to the game
- Sessions focused on movement, coordination and basic skills
- A safe and supportive environment for young players
- A natural pathway into the Lanark Minis section
For many children, the Micros are their first experience of team sport, helping them build confidence, make friends and develop a love of rugby from an early age.
